凌健

凌健 { pronounced as Ling Jian } is a chinese artist whom I discovered while casually wandering around M.A.D { Musuem of Art & Design } last week in Singapore. I also discovered that his works displaying at M.A.D cost SGD$ 200,000 { jaw-dropped } and also learned yesterday that his works are auctioned at Christie’s. He is one of the fast rising and recognised talents in China & internationally. However, it was the sheer size { occupying the whole wall at almost full ceiling height } and his oriental beauties { depicted in a provocative  yet distorted style } that captivated me. The combination was just a wow-factor for me.

The picture below were the two paintings I saw at M.A.D.  and I especially love the round one: that’s the one with the price tag of SGD$200k.
